Bay of Islands

Bay of Islands is subtropical area with many green islands. There’s a possibility to make boat trips to ‘Hole in the Rock’ but this is just one of the opportunities. Visit Waitangi Treaty House and go on an excursion to the lighthouse on the most northern tip at Cape Reinga.

Waitomo Glow-worm Caves

The Waitomo Glow-worm Caves forms one of the major highlights of this trip. The glow worms that live in the caves are unique to New Zealand. The best way to see the caves is to take one of the tours who will run through.

Tongariro Crossing

This is considered as one of the most spectacular tramping track of New Zealand! It passes volcanic terrain of the multi-cratered and active volcano Mt. Tongariro. It is fair bit of walking but the 19.4 km are worthwhile when you have views like these.

Marlborough Sounds

About twenty percent of New Zealand’s stunning coastline is made up of the beautiful sea-drowned valleys of the Marlborough Sounds. Use a sea kayak to explore and navigate the lush expanse of pristine waters surrounded by lush vegetation and 800-year old rimy trees. Ride inter-island ferries, and other water transport services to see even more!

Aoraki Mount Cook National Park

The tallest mountain in New Zealand, Mt Cook, should not be an intimidation but an invitation to many more of what you can do in the surroundings. Here you can have a majestic view of the star-studded night sky, the wonderful lake Pukaki, glaciers and even be able to meet with kea mountain parrots. Plus, you can also go mountaineering, mountain walks and skiing.

Be active at Lake Wanaka
In this video you will see the beauty of the New Zealand nature combined with mountainbiking. New Zealand becomes a more and more popular country to mountainbike. This guy bikes along Lake Wanaka, a lake which you will visit on this trip as well. Watch and see why it so popular.
