Christchurch Roundtrip

Abel Tasman National Park

It may be the smallest national park but that does not make it any less interesting. Granite and marble formations dominating the headlands, Te Pukatea Bay has a perfect golden beach and native wild life is all around.

Milford Sound

Milford Sound or is de Maori language Popiotahi is a fjord which lies within the Fiordland National Park, Pipiotahi Marine Reserve and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. In an international survey from TripAdvisor(2008), it came out as the world’s top travel destination.

Nugget Point

In the Otago coast lies the distinctive beauty of the Nugget Point. Rock formations are found scattered along the bay looking like a broken pieces of necklaces in a calm blanket of blue. In five minutes, you will get to the lighthouse with breathtaking views everywhere you look. Wildlife also abounds in the landform with visits from seals, sea lions, penguins shearwaters and shags.

Moeraki Boulders

These boulders are extremely big and a scattered around on Koekohe Beach. A Maori legend says that the boulders are remains of eel baskets that washed ashore from the wreck of an Arai-te-uru, which is a large sailing canoe.
