Disasters seem to come on top of each other
I will never forget one trip that my family and I made to go fishing in Elliston South Australia. Every thing started off really well. Got the car and boat serviced replaced and greased the bearings on the boat trailer then packed the car and boat ready for the long haul from Adelaide to Elliston. We got up at 5.30am and set off on the raod at 6.00am to beat the traffic. When we got to Whyalla we dropped in to...

Our first overseas Holiday and Apollo
I waited a long time to travel overseas, 35 years young. I always meant to go earlier, but life got in the way. So when I had two kids and my youngest had started school, I decided now or never. I packed up the family in Darwin and travelled to Auckland NZ where we picked up our Apollo campervan for a holiday adventure of a lifetime. The staff were fantastic explaining all the features and giving us invaluable local tips of where...

Lifestyle holiday
Hi I am fondly known as Action Mum, I am constantly 'playing' in the great outdoors with my kids, (Jack 9 & Lilly 6),and are dreaming of 'playing' overseas too....Today is significant as we received our passports. In the meantime my life to some may resemble a holiday, it just maybe, as I can't seem to wipe the smile off my face....It's been 7 weeks since I took the plunge, and finished working with the large global gas company, and set off...

Little Family Getaway to New Zealand
We hit the road for a 2 week trip around the North Island of New Zealand in a 6 berth Apollo Camper. Just a Mummy and a Daddy and a wee little Bub hitting the road, seeing spectacular sights, taking every day as it came and relaxing in our big home on wheels. Its the perfect way to travel with kids because you can do everything at your own pace. With the porta-cot set up in the back we had plenty...

Two on the road touring NZ in style
Over the past few years, my wfe and I have transitioned from the challenges of having three children at home, to the special years - the "fifty is the new forty" years, with a little disposable income, and a strong desire to live life to its fullest.Along with that transition has been the strong desire to see places we have only read about, or had travelling companions tell us their own stories about.Neither of has been to New Zealand, which is...

New Zealand Motor Home Hol
i remember when i was 7 years old (31 years ago) My mum and dad took me and my brother and sister on a motor home holiday around New Zealand. We went skiing at Mt Hutt and general touring. I dont remember much of my childhood, but remember that experience, and the great family time we had in our moving home :)

every where
On our first trip to NZ, we noticed that the Apollo campers were very popular. We decided that our next trip we would treat ourselves to the pleasure of not having to find accomodation in motel each night and the drama of packing & unpacking each day. We are coming back to NZ for the anniversary of the sinking of the ORPHEUS one of NZ worst shipping disasters in which my GGrandfather survived, so we have chosen to do it with an Apollo...

On no road to nowhere
Well there's not alot to tell really. For as long as I could remember I've always seen the Kiwi dream of being able to pack up the family and taking off into the wide yonder as just that, unattainable. The closest we ever got was borrowing my father inlaws good old combi one year but outfitted with all the mod cons of the day, like a lift up roof top, stove, kitchen utensils, liftout tarp roof( He was pretty clever ) etc.....

Road tripping
I love a great road trip and all I want for Christmas is the chance to drive around the North Island of New Zealand...just following the road less traveled wherever the whim takes me. I have had the worst year of my life and now all I want to do is hit the road in a beautiful country in a campervan and feel carefree. Its not a fancy dream, but its mine.

Snow in the South Island New Zealand
We had never had a holiday in a motorhome before and very excited but slightly nervous at the prospect of spending 9 nights in the New Zealand winter but we need not have worried. The motorhome had everything we needed and more. Our children loved it and we all had the best family holiday ever. The novelty of driving up to the snow, ski-ing and being able to have a hot chocolate and something to eat in the comfort...
