Writing and Submitting a blog
Submitting a Blog post is as easy as 1-2-3! You can either publish your post on your own blog and submit a link to the post, or submit your post directly to us using the entry form. The hard part about a blog post is the actual writing part. Below are a few tips about writing a blog post.
Short, declarative sentences are best.
Web readers demand them.
If you are publishing your post on your own blog, link like crazy.
Link to any other blog or website you mention. Link to articles, books, products, bios, explanatory materials on other sites that you mention in your blog.
Always link to information that clarifies or gives background on information and opinions in your post.
And most importantly, link back to www.apollocamper.co.nz!
Write less
Leave out all unnecessary words. Try removing words from a sentance one by one until removing one more word destroys the meaning of the sentance. For example: Remove words until removing another destroys the sentance meaning.
Aim at keeping your post at about 250 words.
Keep sentences and paragraphs short.
Don't take yourself too seriously.
Blogging isn't brain surgery. Don't get pompous or dictatorial.
Never lose your sense of humor.
Write like it counts.

Use the simplest possible word and sentence structure.
Read your post out loud and make sure you don't get stuck on complex construction.
If you trip on a word while reading a sentence aloud, re-write the sentence.
Make sure your posts are easy to scan.
